Physical and Chemical Properties | Chemical properties colorless to yellowish oily liquid. It has a black pepper and a kind fragrance. There are two isomers: left-handed body and right-handed body. The boiling point of the right-handed body is 66~68 ℃, and the boiling point of the left-handed body is 58~59 ℃(2133Pa). Flash point, 49 ℃. Soluble in ethanol and ether, insoluble in water. D-rotation body exists in cinnamon oil, ginger oil, olive oil, fennel oil, etc. L-handed body exists in eucalyptus oil, star anise oil, couch oil, laurel oil, pepper oil, etc. |
